Having trouble taking out Legion tanks? Remember : Armor is directional!
Spread out your anti-armor assets, use bradleys as bait and use the reverse command, put other units on hold fire, lure that sucker to turn so you can put ATGMs or tank rounds into the side, you'll very often destroy the gun (guns) hitting the side, and will score kills like 6-8x more effectively than you will slugging it out face to face.

2 shots on the side from ATGMs is all that's needed, yeah. And game conviniently gave players 2 ATGM squads :D If the tank is moving somewhere and you have two ATGM close to each other so that they could shoot in quick succession as soon as it's side comes into LOS - it'll be dead for sure with no ammo wasted.

Also RPGs to the back work real good, but it's a lot more dangerous to try and get RPGs that close with tank ignoring them for long enough. From the front the tank will eat as much RPGs as you want to give it and will say thanks in plasma language.

I prefer to just park eight M113s with TOW launchers directly in front of the tank and go ham, then get spitting mad when only three of the missiles hit for no apparent damage. But thanks. You're a good 'un.

Just use ATGM, you should have 2 ATGM squads a bradley with atgm and a m113 with atgm,
Just use some snipers on ambush mode to spot them, so you can take advantage of long range.
The hard part is when you must face 4 of them in each spawn on santa fe mission, you get one and rush to get the other, but they have a long travel, you can hit them from the sides

Also, using bradley to tank legion tanks means you play on normal or medium, I play on hard, they single shot a bradley and easily set the abbrams on fire.

When I say tank, what I mean is kite backwards keeping out of range, although yes I am not on hard, I try to minimize any/all damage anyways.

That's how it's ideally supposed to be for your vehicles - all the directions worked hard, tank was rotating, showing different sides to the enemy. All of the armour from every side (except the back) worked in this scenario.

In Santa Fe, I used mines. It's not enough to destroy some of them that I have to send the Abrams and ATGM teams afterwards to finish the job, but it is enough to immobilize them.

If you have plasma cannons, 2-3 shots will kill them

Just saw commander tyriel killing the last 8 tanks with a single abrams.
Just move behind them, shot in the back of the last one, they never stop moving and they cant turn fast enough to retaliate and when they just turned 90º to hit you, you are out of range reloading and they will turn to the front again.
Repeat until all tanks are dead. Plasma recoiless will make you single shot them in the back (with the cannon)

Honestly for Santa Fe, C4 solves everything.

- C4s
- Mines
- Hacking EMPed legion tank (will block the convoy road by itself until the last 2 convoys)
- Firing AP shells from your Abrams to kill whole convoy in one shot
- Abrams ambush from behind of legion tanks
- Towing allied platforms to better positions (more concentrated firepower and more future loot)
- Mass RPG squads ambushes

Santa Fe is pretty flexible, even though I hated it the first time around due to the difficulty spike.

I think Santa Fe is only hard the first time when you don't know what you are doing, and the waves happens too fast I guess.

The first part of your quote is the same for all the missions, it's only hard when you don't know what is coming. When you do it's a cake walk.
