Nueva Torguga - Free the Captives question v1.02.941

What could I have done wrong to cause this scenario? After joining the Cartel, instead of uploading the virus to the Intergrators drone in the arena I destroyed it and brought the Legion tank from them with pesos, but in my next step when I go to attack the guards of the captives it triggers all of the Cartel to become enemies with me.

When you attack the guards, you have to make sure that the firing range is shooting loudly.

Yeah need to rush the building with 2 good squads while the cartel are shooting on the range ( i used the main squads you start with) and also make sure the Humvee patrolling isn't nearby too. The entire faction should stay friendly OTHER than the cartel guys in that area

Yeah what the others have said, you need to attack that squad when there's shooting at the firing range. (you don't even need to rush the building, just force fire on the squad outside)
Sometimes the dudes at the range simply won't shoot. No idea why, or how to get it happening again. Is it timed based? Player proximity?

Move your troops away from it and come back a bit later see if the shooting starts.

Thanks all. They definitely said to use the shooting at the firing range as cover but I'm playing on pause more than live so wasn't even considering the timing involved.

Hilariously enough if you take your sweet time it'll run out of fuel and if you are unlucky will stop just around these guys. I almost cleared the map when I decided to look at that corner again and it was just standing there, being angry :D
