loyal subject achievement

hey i'm stumped on how to get the achievement as i've done all 3 ways of getting the hk tank controller (buying it, giving them flinch, turning the intergrators against the cartel) but no matter what way i obtain it the guards for the mayor refuse to allow me to enter. is this is a bug that i simply cannot obtain this achievement or is the a highly specific way to go about it?

What do you mean you can't enter? Do you not get the option to kill the guards and move on? Cause that's how I got it after lucia leaves and I go activate the HK tank when I go to it.

Forgot to add, did you do start the revolution? From my memory the achievement unlocks once you start it after killing the mayor and arming the revolt. Make your way to the tank, chat prompt and it allows to fully control the unit then you get the achievement

to get the achievement you cant hack any of the legion units or start any trouble. now the way l got it was by paying the 5k pesos to get the controller instead turning him in.

if you just under the amount needed remember you can do the last arena combat to destroy the instigator walker instead hacking it

the loyal subject achievement is when you kill the mayor without killing any cartel or hacking legion bots. it lets you mc walk right up to the mayor without the hill battle but the down side is the cartel get the controler

Ah gotcha, I just kinda got it unknowingly. I vaguely recall giving him the controller but nothing else since I just drop his guys then him

So does dueling the gangs mean causing trouble if so that might be what’s stopping me I’ll give the mission new attempt I guess

how i got it was i just ignored interacting with any of the cartel soldiers (including those you can prompt into the arena).

hacked no intergator machines, sold the hacker to the intergators (yes i lose the hacker but atleast mason is happy for almost getting his face blown off) for the tank controller and did every fight against the legion spiders allowing to keep a large amount of pesos (under 8k).

also when you buy guns from haruk it doesn't affect the achievement.

but you must arm the rebels first before giving up the tank controller otherwise it won't trigger the prompt in seeing the mayor and the rebellion would fail to start.

(also i was poking and proding a lot but you can get lucia past the gaurds but be warned you can't steal the chopper with the mayor alive as he will trigger the self destruct and the level ends in failure)

a little hint for the next level don't kill all of the cartel commanders, one must stay alive and if you don't take this infomation from me the legion will be happy to show you.

btw as long as you dont trigger a fight with cartel you can get loyal subject.

You can kill all gangs and even hack the integrator spider in arena and trigger the fight between cartel and integrators (this will not affect your relations with integrators). But don't hack the Legion, this will trigger a fight with Cartel.
After hacking the integrator spider, wait until they start fighting and then when the cartel kills the soldiers near the Legion Tank you can grab the controller.

You can even free some movement soldiers in top left near firing range (there will be a squad with C4 which will allow you to C4 whole map and cartel won't mind).

Well, when you have the controller you need to go to Luiz (or whatever his name was), after the dialogue you will be teleported to the entrance where you will be given option to either kill the guards and start the fight or give the controller and go meet the mayor.
