I am curious, how is it that urban maps give issues? What exactly in the code causes this? The Cartel “Capital” map did not give any issues.
I would like to know more about the challenges you Indi developers face.
The game only use 1 core as of right now, and since most of these urban maps has lots of stuff most 1 core is at their limit.
Modern CPUs have 6-8 cores nowadays, so I think you can see the issue here?
It's a similar issue with Crysis and why to this day it still has performance issues in modern systems.
I've never seen crysis have issues with modern day OS.. maybe I've been lucky but thats with a laptop/two older builds and a reinstall..
Maybe the new 'remaster' if you can call it that does.
We know about Galveston. Working on it. The specific reasons for the low frame rate on this mission have already been identified.
guess noone bothered to test the last mission before releasing? good job. What a dissapointing end to an otherwise great game. All the other levels played smooth on ultra settings, makes no sense why the last mission drops to like 10 fps
I am just waiting for a patch so i can finish the game.
Pro tip: hacker team has to drive the digital storm
Of course they have known, probably the studio is not to blame but the corporate suits. The game was delayed once if i remember corectly and they probably decided to release it anyway since they couldnt fix the problem then.
Thats modern gaming, corporations making our lives miserable and taking away everything we enjoy:)
