The end
Am I the only one who found the ending of the game awful?

It was abrupt, not awful but for sure a quick hard ending. That's open ended and definitely meant to be longer. Or open for more campaigns that the devs are likely on working on. Since scuttlebutt days they are working on a machine one. But for sure the end is so sudden but I'm happy

Yeah you are right. After a very hard fight, you finally take down their base and instead of some reward comes a conversation: "We are now the resistance" Subtitles and the end and goodbye. Phew. I have probably never experienced such a cut-off ending in any game.

I got whiplash, I had amassed a huge army expecting to lose at least half. And I complete the mission and bam game done. Like huh? But if we getting DLC and such them I'm okay with it just surprised it went full stop lile that

I think it's very obvious at least 2-3 missions were cut from the game to end it proper.

Infiltrators were obviously supposed to be more than a single (1) guy.

at this point we can only hope that dlcs will add bonus missions

I'm so glad we all see it the same way.

It is. It feels like there is half a game missing in general. Look at the map and how many points we don't even visit or just path through without anything happening.

I think the game is too short in general. And let me explain how I mean that. I'm not talking about the hours we can invest into the game or have to. I'm talking from the perspective of the amount of missions available.
If the game wasn't the way it is, you'd be breezing through those missions really quick.
Most of the playtime is generated by us pausing and doing careful micromanagement.
Especially the first time you do a mission blind.
You are able to finish missions at break neck speed in comparison to before, the second time around.
And that's where that realization that the game is actually rather short, will kick in.

I still love this game. Don't get me wrong here. I hope it sold well enough and that there is more coming. While I know there is something Legion centric in the works, I'd actually prefer an expansion of that Founders campaign. Or at least a part two.
I'm absolutely ready to fork more bundles of money over for it.

Agree it ends in odd way. I also have a feeling that "half" of the campaign, the Founder's campaign is missing. I expected at least 10 more missions after Oklahoma. I hope for a DLC that will exapand on main campaign (add at least 5 missions).

Yeah it's a lil strange how the plot radically changes to 'Founders are actually the bad guys!' for some reason.

I was expecting a backstab, Kenzo or that office in Vega who survived the first assault on Oklahoma mentioned what plan the command came up with, such plan had to be approved by the board and the board consists of many officers not just those two aholes uncle of Blair and Actual (same black soldier who Major Stevens linked up with during Atlanta). Well I find it odd that command would approve a sacrifice of a batalion size element for some "tech" that might or might not work. Regarding those extra missions that I hope come with a DLC, I would like to see the betrayal expanded and also few more missions showing how our task force is slowly becoming an inspiration to all who believe a fight against the machines can be won (in my opinion Movement questline ends too quickly as well).

Yes, it really is strange. The map is as big as a cow, but only provides about 30% of the content. It would be good if the developers commented on this. Because I'm wondering if I only bought the longer demo version or the actual finished game.

I'm toying with the idea of how cool it would be to build a new resistance base there and run raids for resources, liberate civilians and scrap those metal bastards one by one in a randomly generated map in enemy territory. Replayability together with mods would be guaranteed for years to come. It's a bad comparison, but take Rimworld, for example. I have 950 hours there and still can't get enough.

This one I know I'll never play again knowing how linear and horrendously short it is. It's a shame. At the same time, the game is really nice.

What I'd like would be a mode where we have to juggle with supplies like in the main campaign. With the main goal of getting from one end of the world map to the other and having to fight randomized skirmishes on the way there.
Somewhat akin to a Rogue-like sandbox, I guess.
I literally can't be bothered with skirmish mode because I'm just missing the Supply management part too much, making due with what I can afford and not being able to afford everything.
