Indeed there will, and is.
Certain units can call up air strikes if Air Support is available in the mission.

The latest preview had air support in one of the missions, it was just an armed civilian biplane. I doubt resistance could maintain something like an A-10.

Oh yeah I saw that, it looked like a P-52 mustang or something.

In Terminator Salvation, the Resistance fielded several A-10s. And in any case, given the amount of Abrams, Bradleys, and Black Hawks the Founders have, having an A-10 in their corner doesn't seem far-fetched considering it popped up in one of the teasers for this game. The Biplane we saw in the preview is most likely the air support option for the Movement faction.

Yeah I think that's correct actually - that preview mission I saw was Movement not Resistance military.

Movement right now seems to be the strongest military force in the region. We might be the only part of founders around.

Heck, by end of mission 5, founders are minority of the force at our disposal.

Unless founders show up later in force, or we get our own base/support from those tech dudes, I don't see us fielding proper military aircraft.

In fact, we probably won't get our own air force at all and are restricted to what the locals can provide us during each mission.
