Upcoming 1.3 Patch

Hi all,

Thank you for all the detailed reports and constructive feedback. We’ve confirmed that there are some issues with force feedback support and compatibility with a select number of steering wheel accessories. We’re currently working on a patch to fix these issues along with a few others that we’re seeing being reported, including but not limited to:

- AI Handling improvements, so vehicle AI will be better at avoiding collisions and controlling their speed
- Control Point fixes and improvements in Professional Mode
- Multiplayer improvements, including a fix where the host is not correctly replicating the right state of the client, and a fix to AI behavior in multiplayer

We will keep you posted on the timing of this patch’s release as well as full patch notes when we have them. With your help, we'll constantly be improving the Dakar Desert Rally experience for everyone.

PLEASE DO NOT LOCK CLASSIC VEHICLES BEHIND SPORT MODE!!! I enjoy the actual Dakar experience. I only enjoy playing on Professional. I only want to drive on Professional and Simulation. I shouldn't be forced to play a half baked arcade mode that the game is CLEARLY not designed to handle to unlock classic cars, trucks and bikes. Please let me unlock them in Professional. It's a harder challenge anyway.

Why are you forcing us to play the sport mod to unlock the cars? I bought the Dakar game and this mod is not Dakar! Put car unlocking in all mods!

That might indeed be feasible right now in the patch. Why the Arcade style stuff, unless it is ... optional (parameter) !?

I bought this game for XB1 but holy heck. Some of your cars and tracks just dont work together. Am trying to drive the 701 Peugeot Talbot Sport on Sharma and about half way through the stage if I spin out and try to correct from that, the game loses it's mind and start pinballing my car all over, smashing it into stuff and the only way to get out of it is to restart the stage. Also ATVs have a real issue with just absolutely biting it over jumps.

I wish they had an option for the transmission that would auto-shift the forward gears but let me select reverse through my paddles (or buttons). Right now if you leave the setting in automatic and use the brake button or lever, sometimes reverse doesn't engage worth a damn.

G27 - In options for the wheel it has a lock in front of it. Wheel will not steer, but everything else works! And in the calibration nothing happens for the wheel, but pedals and clutch works.
Also need support for H-Shifter and multiply devices (I have USB Handsbrake as Joy)

If they add the 2.5 I think it would probably work in compatibility mode, but that's just a tought, waiting for fanatec support to buy, which is embarassing it is not there from the start.

Just look at my clip how well it runs on the Radeon. Maybe game isn't optimized for NVIDIA cards? I only reduced view distance one down from maximum and shadow one down from maximum. Everything else is maxed out.

My rig is Radeon

Do you have SAM enabled in the BIOS and Adrenalin?

Who's idea was it to make waypoints so tall and their graphics design such that they obscure the path forward ?? The waypoints should be on the GROUND, not 4 meters tall.

The previous waypoint system in Dakar 18 was perfect. Just the compass kind of bar on top and the Yellow direction marker that shows up on top occasionally to guide you. That would've been a better idea. The huge yellow tornado thing looks ugly and too kiddish.

Saber, one big issue with the AI is in the way they accelerate from any situation and even when you are going flat out they just zip past like they were using nitrous oxide. That should be toned down so we don't get punished so bad. Probably drop that by 20% and it should be balanced and challenging enough.
