Upcoming 1.3 Patch

Hi all,

Thank you for all the detailed reports and constructive feedback. We’ve confirmed that there are some issues with force feedback support and compatibility with a select number of steering wheel accessories. We’re currently working on a patch to fix these issues along with a few others that we’re seeing being reported, including but not limited to:

- AI Handling improvements, so vehicle AI will be better at avoiding collisions and controlling their speed
- Control Point fixes and improvements in Professional Mode
- Multiplayer improvements, including a fix where the host is not correctly replicating the right state of the client, and a fix to AI behavior in multiplayer

We will keep you posted on the timing of this patch’s release as well as full patch notes when we have them. With your help, we'll constantly be improving the Dakar Desert Rally experience for everyone.

I'm running the game on both of my PCs without any stuttering issues. I've put over 20 hours now and not a single crash or annoying issues.

I hope the developers will look into providing an immediate for older PCs and consoles which I see a lot of people having issues with.

This launch reminded me of DIRT 5 when it came out which didn't have a proper racing wheels support.

Both PC specs in my profile.

I don't have any stuttering or crashing issues either except when quitting the game UE4 engine crashes but after exiting the game. I have a Ryzen 5800X and Radeon 6800XT. Seems like your primary PC is all Intel and NVDIA so I am not sure why people are having issues. Wonder if they faced the same issues with Dakar 18 as well.

If by any chance you folks at Saber would not only create a single post in a topic marked as very important but also give your "playerbase" (those are the guys that pay your loan cause we buy your games) some real information, that would be great.

Your post says nothing but the game not being finished as it was released.

Not only will this make many people happy, I'm pretty sure if there were some valid information about the "patch roadmap" (talking about wheel support in upcoming patches, physics e.g.) people will not refund the game via Steam etc.

I personally do not expect a video game to be completely bug-free and without any crashes or freezes, it's a product like any other so there might be some issues in the beginning. But it has to be in a finished state. You guys clearly knew and told the players that there will be hughe wheel support for example. As the game was realeased with so many wheels, wheelbases and stuff not working it was clearly not finished.

It's sad to see that this is what the gaming industry in general is becoming nowadays and even though this post wont change anything about it maybe it helps the developers/publishers to understand why the feedback about this game is so bad right now.

when is the ps5 gonna get patched today this week maybe

When I pass though passanger control zone in the stage 4 on the Dakar experience 2021.
My bike is auto driving and did't hit anybody.
Everything seems OK.
But after passing the control piont.
The screen shows EXPULSION title and it said inappropriate behavior.
I can't continue the race .Then I try second times it appears angin.
DEV please fix the bug !!!
I spend almost 2 hours to finshing the 4th stages and the bug don't let me finish the last way pionts.

Did you correctly enter the zone between the initial markers? Or did you miss them out and cut into it at a later point? This has only ever happened to me once at a timecard stop and that was purely down to not seeing the entry markers due to the poor weather and I assume the game deciding that I'd gained some sort of advantage because I'd entered the zone at the wrong place.

There's also been a couple of instances where I've not entered the finish line gates correctly (once my fault and the other when an AI driver thought it would be hilarious to sideswipe me on the approach), both resulting in expulsion.

It's a common bug . Some people have same problem
