That would be awesome, to have a navigator connected online, great way also to train, I hope the navigation is realistic

I was going to post this idea too, i had also suggested in with the Dakar 18 game in the past, so hopefully they will add it in this one. I think it would be fun. Also add a mode for this in MP. You could have two vehicles face off and four players.

Also having an extra person in the car, and I presume the player can hop out of the vehicle and replace a wheel or help another get their vehicle unstuck- like Dakar 18. So having a human copilot you could have an extra help. It would be cool if there is other activities you can do outside of the car too, such as pouring water to replace lost radiator fluid, perhaps clearing debris. This would further make the game immersive.

D 18 had an app with the roadbook for this purpose. It would be nice to see that again, at the very least.

+1 for the idea. I hope they'll put it in game and remove all UI elements while doing so. I will be just like real life and the difficulty will be great!

Imo, the most interesting part of navigation is playing unknown stages, obviously, so adding the option to share routes and also invite another player as a co-pilot would be a nice improvement. Cooperation in Dakar is essential and would be an exellent co-op mode to work on it in multiplayer.
So we can play as we did in the Dakar 18 with the app in multiplayer with voice chat

I actually do have human navigators inviting my friends with remote play and not enabling them any peripheral control... simply because shared controls disable mine (I would happily leave the, control over the roadbook). They communicate via discord while seeing me driving on screen.

Oh we will get it, I am sure of it. It might take a while. They are building it as hard as they can and really doing a terrific job for the most part. It looks to me like the difficulty figuring out how to get every controller to work makes this far more difficult than they expected, but the DEVs are battling something fierce.
