stutters/freezes?

im in the upside down jungle and the game freezes for like 5 secs every now and then

that's called traversal stuttering, any unreal engine will be the same

i don't really care because it only happens during intersection area

what annoys me is the crashes

it's almost unplayable at times (like in the video i linked)

lmao no, even the official gameplay videos from the devs have extreme stuttering

i'm playing on medium settings and it runs fine for most part, traversal stuttering is basically just loading screen, if your game stutters outside those places, something is wrong with your game / pc

but yeah, whenever there are too many particles effect the FPS will tank

Same issue in Upturned Forest, especially in the lower area. Constant, horrible stuttering lasting anywhere from 1 to 3 seconds when you so much as take a few steps.

Edit: Adding "DollsNest.exe" to your anti-virus exclusions and reinstalling DirectX appears to help.
