How to get more skill points
I’ve beaten the tank boss and entered the next set of levels, but I still only have the original 10 points I started with to work with. Is this something you get later or is it really just these 10? I would have thought I’d have gotten some more by now…

you need to commit "murder" once you clear the area you get to fight mecha musumes like you around the said map they will drop nerve sample which you can give to the impaled doll for more tuning points max of 100, 1 nerve sample per area and the game as about 12 biomes = 12 per run
Central Cavern
The Depths
The Ark
Upturned Forest
The Fault
Water Treatment Levels
Great Forest
Arboreal Nest
The Bridge
Accumulation Zone
Forbidden Domain
Tomb of Wisdom

You will get them from Nerve Samples, there is one for sale in the hub, and the rest are obtained through killing other nymphs. One will spawn in each area after you beat the area's boss.

You only start getting the items to exchange for a higher point cap after the 2nd set of stages and getting the Right Eye. It's kind of weirdly paced due to lore reasoning.

skillpoints barely affect anything though, gear upgrades do highest amount of work.

They almost double melee damage and give you a huge money boost for backshots.

At max they do alot, 30pts in melee doubles the dmg, for the 3 stats like Barrier, BP, and Energy, they are useless.

Barrier drops off after like five points, but those five points are semi helpful early game

it's more complicated. The first few and last few have extremely outsized effects compared to the middle part, as a general rule.

Barrier is a huge deal. I think the increase caps out at about ~25% overall increase at level 30. That doesn't sound like much but remember barrier is a bonus health bar that heals itself constantly, and for free. It's a world of difference for long slogs through a zone or when fighting a boss with cover available. I'd argue it's even the most important upgrade available of all the choices.

Except I guess if you're a hyper-gamer who can cruise through bosses or zones without taking even a few hits.

I just beat the last boss first try and it was not difficult at all, almost all my deaths are some big sized robot being able to fire behind its self because blatant cheating. The rest were early game bosses learning how to play.

I think you misread what I wrote; I said it's the most important upgrade, not that people can't beat the game without it. I think it's reasonable to say that a regenerating health bar probably has the largest impact on survival of all the tuning options (except maybe EP, since that increases dodge attempts). Extra damage or ammo or weight is nice, but won't mean the difference between life and death like extra protection.

Nah, the extra resources means extra consumables which are insanely powerful in this game.

Decoys work on bosses. I beat every boss first try after learning that. Easily the biggest power gain I had on my entire run: use consumables this is not a souls game money is not exp (mostly).
do these nymph spawn at random location or fixed ? haven't found any
