What weapons YOU think are good!
Weapon balance is wack, there are tons of guns and most are bad, so which ones have YOU found to be good?

I've been utilizing a lightweight and speedy frame build and employing a peek-a-boo playstyle with the BSAD battle rifle with the Kulim sword as a CQB tool to dash behind for easy weakpoint backstabs whenever the enemy reloads, is it fast? No, but it lets me pick off cheeky buggers from mid-range.
Early game I loved using the Clest and D-Fam SMGs but once enemies started using shotguns and insta-firing barrages of explosives immediately upon wake-up after reloading... yeah, I decided to keep my distance to avoid being 1-shot by enemies that can shoot behind them through their own frame.

Where did you find the item to unlock the Sabi? I've been searching the map for ages but I haven't been able to find it.
1. Get Twin Cocoon here

2. Give it to Yashica and Mushica
3. When you come back to Yashica and Mushica, you'll get the "Sabi"
Which map is that?

I'm using the D Fams SMG for shooting, it kills stuff quite fast, been considering switching to one of the other SMGs but it's hard to judge what would be worth it since they're un-upgraded in comparisons. Extending great sword as well, great for sneaking or charging in and instakilling a heavier enemy since you can charge up before leaving cover. My only back weapon is the xxx bubble artillery, it's relatively situational since the large blast radius can hurt you badly but it dishes out a ton of damage and can wipe out an entire group of swarmy enemies, plus it's quick to use. So as you can tell I have a very close range build. I'm mostly using the frame from the melee start though with a different utility because trading health for ammo really doesn't make much sense for a build that uses relatively little ammo.
Found the Creo SMG (near the end of the bridge region, in the side path that leads back to the forest)
It has a 10 round burst fire, "silenced" (so it's weakspot damage focus)
And it's exactly what i wanted shotguns to be, a short ranged weapon with enough damage to 1-2 "shot" light enemies from behind, and you can fire the bursts at a reasonable rate too, and not just one every 2 seconds or so as it is with the shotguns.
Colap is supposed to inflict Short Circuit, but it seems to inflict Parasitic Infection instead.
So long as that's the case, unless there's enemies immune to that status, they're The Best. You can kill yourself with the splash, though...

Pile Bunker. found it in a bush. I forget it's exact name, but it says "God" on it.

I havent let go of the spear since I found it.
I find I prefer the battle rifles, the range is good and the single shots do enough damage to take down enemies quickly without eating all my BP. But I kinda tend to play more sniper types anyway, and when paired with a melee weapon I so far haven't had much trouble with progression.

If it didn't eat so much BP, the burst grenade launcher would easily be my favorite. But until I can raise my BP significantly I can't really use it without going through items like they were candy.
The AwlPike and BSAD Battle Rifles are easily my favorite guns so far, especially the latter. They deal pretty good damage, especially when you hit enemies in the back. Good for getting up close and long range.

LAS825 - D Selys is pretty good as well, but it eats up BP when you reload.

For rear weapons, but GAR and Lapls are really lovely sniper cannons.

On the melee side of things, the DRK is pretty good, provided that you charge it up for a while and get close.
APPL065 Compress gun - eats nymphs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ignores energy shields entirely.
Alv281-D G03 Colap handgun - Plasma scattergun with viral damage. Nuff said.
Kanehiga - chaff disappears in one backstab, no wind up for swinging. Keep BP topped
up at all times.

i know this isnt a build discussion (i'll probably start one sometime...?) but I am curious as to what kind of frame setups you fellas run these weapons with

SSC T08A3 GAR sniper cannon is my workhorse for anything and everything i need dead yesterday. The boss in the bottom of the depths took four rounds, some nymphs take 2, others take 2 and some rifle rounds

The Las079-D G09 Bulz is an incredible thermal shotgun.

At lv5, it has 10.4k dmg per shot at close range, 676 piercing, only 60 BP per shot, and shoots quite rapidly too.

For SMGs, I like the thermal Sys411-D G02 Restol. It has large magazine and fairly quick reload. It also has a faster rate of fire compared to other thermal SMGs. Combine that with higher base damage and piercing stats, it's one hell of a beast as well.

sys411-d g02 restol,Where is this weapon? Please!

It's in the area after the Great Forest (sorry forgot the name since I just started NG+). After the area with the pipes, you enter a building like area and it should be around there. Unfortunately I don't have the exact location for you since the layout is a bit confusing.

As for other weapons that are incredibly powerful, dual wielding the Alv222 - D G02 Shgaf is also ridiculously strong. Very high rate of fire, decent damage per bullet (873 thermal and 299 pierce at lv5), more range than a SMG due to its weapon class (3200 vs 2500-3000), only 4 BP per shot, 40 bullets per mag (80 total), and 207 reload speed.
