Why does your single player game use EOS?
Epic Online Services are used for achievements on Epic Games Store. They are not used on Steam. Did you encountered any issues because of EOS in Chicken Journey?
Steamdb says your steam version of the game has eos in the game folder.
Any plans to remove it?
My only issue is that I do not want any files from epic in my steam games folders.
Steamdb is probably detecting "c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Chicken Journey\Chicken Journey_Data\Plugins\x86_64\EOSSDK-Win64-Shipping.dll" that is distributed with the game. A harmless oversight AFAIK.
I don't run any code from this DLL in Steam build and you can safely delete the file if it bothers you. I'll also make sure it is not present in any future updates.
I'll wait until the next update then
Thanks for the reply and actually removing these unused epic files. Look forward to trying the game out.
