So Nergigante?
Weakest? I don't think so. Velkhana is way easier than any flagship monster. Anyway, the hardest thing here is the quest. Having 15 minutes to beat Malzeno using a random build and unable to take 2 consecutive hits, else you're dead... That requires a lot. The quest itself is no joke to solo and deal massive and consistent damage nonstop.
Nergiagnte dies in 4 minutes by just spamming random combos with a rocksteady mantle. he is also the first flagship monster in the series to have been beaten sub1 minute, and the monster that spends the most time on the ground in the entire series.
edit: forget waht I said, he dies in 3 minutes, not 4.

Sure, first time Nergi is slightly more challenging. Even then he is a complete joke at endgame, and even AT Nerg, while decently difficult, dosen't even come close to demo Malzeno.
Now vs Malzeno, you must use everything (solo) or things gonna get hugely complicated. Malzeno may not be an OP Monster, but we must agree that the quest as a whole is insane.
Usually, I love fighting with style and fluff, but in this quest I had to be extremely committed to the plan and spam SAED like crazy. I'm not sure if you've tried or just heard people talk about Malzeno, but give it a try solo, you'll understand why this quest is nearly impossible.
Magnamalo took me more tries but I agree, Malzeno needs you to use evrything far more than Magnamalo. I am very happy I managed to get a clear, and even more so by using ground dual blades, which are worse than aerial. Demo Malzeno is IMO much harder than Fatalis, and blows stuff like Alatreon out of the water in term of difficulty.
Amazing fight tho, on par with Magnamalo and Velkhana, can't wait to fight him in the full game,
On a second thought... I think Malzeno is a bit on pair with Alatreon, if we disregard the specific element mechanics vs Alatreon, which is what makes the fight a real pain. But definitely Nergigante (btw, my fav monster) was never a threat of extremely high caliber.
Anyway, I loved doing this quest, solving so many problems after every retry. My mission is done, now to get done the next gaming task pending: finding a shiny Suicune in Crystal hahahah
Happy hunting, everyone!
Fatalis is my favorite fight, bbut honestly I feel more confident in taking Fatalis than Malzeno. Alatreon was pretty easy for me because my main weapon are the Dual Blades, so Eschaton Judgement is honestly kind of a joke. It's actually my only gripe in the fight: Alatreon is amazing, but every time he uses Eschaton you have somewhere along 10 to 15 seconds of not fighting which kinda breaks the pace. This is the only reason why I like Fatalis more tbh, Alatreon is amazing but eschaton just becomes boring after a while.
Why do People always need to make their E-Genitals grow bigger than they actually are....*sighs*
Its normal that you can beat any Flagship Monster with ease if your perfectly Geared up...
It will be the same with Malzeno you will see. Endgame Gear Builds vs Malzeno and he is dead in 2-3 Minutes
True. So there's no "Malzeno is weak" when the challenge in the demo is all about picking a random build, mostly unoptimized, short on items, time and defensive values (no spiritbirds either). Just my opinion, but I think expert players excel in that scenario, not wearing endgame stuffs and mantles. Past Astalos, the demo isn't about experimenting the game anymore, that's a challenge few can take and succeed.
