It's also much simpler to use. Whether this is a good or bad thing is a matter of opinion.
This video should let you see what it can play like.

But to answer your question, yes, HH is pretty good in solo hunts.
I say even People get blinded by the whole Speedrunner stuff (wich i personally must say is the toxic way of playing any game, its insulting the Game)
99% of people who talk about things like "meta" or how "viable" weapons are are neither speedrunners nor they are good at the game. It's all very cringe. IF they were speedrunners, they wouldn't even talk about it here but in their own groups where it actually makes sense, and if they were actually good at the game they would know better than to obsess about all of it.
But come on, the whole notion that speedrunning is toxic is just plain ridiculous. Speedrunning is awesome, and actual speedrunners are some of the most passionate people you'll ever meet. They respect their games like no other, and they know not to confuse how they play the game with how people normally do it. You know, like normal, reasonable adults would. Don't conflate that group with larpers who keep talking about meta and viability.
can't win them all I guess, but maybe that will change with Sunbreak.
