Combat and gear in this game is really well thought out.
It's been a long time since I've played a game with a skill tree and unique gear; that has managed to balance things well enough to where I'm interested in every single talent and piece of gear I come across.

There really isn't any filler like most of these games have. Well done to the devs that worked on these systems.

True. It's not bloated with useless stats, but rather meaningful things that enchance specific playstyle. Which is way better than classic str dex int in that kind of games (considering the size).

tbh I am getting irrationally angry because I want ALL of the Pauldron benefits and now I have to choose only one...

The costumes should have been more well thought out also you should have the option to customize your look that would of settled the entire situation with the race swapping rolls eyes.

No one mentally well adjusted gets this upset about what *skin color (race isn't real, stop pretending it is) the character has.

@OP: Agreed. This is the best designed skill tree I have seen in a very long time. Zero filler, all transformative and impactful. Gear and set bonuses also have some real oomph, although the grind to upgrade them is pretty bad at higher tiers.

Makes me sad there's no NG+.

Man the "race swapping" take is from a random guy on Twitter who has spent the past 15 years complaining about the gaming industry 24/7, and currently spends all his time complaining about DEI in video games.

He even says that the race swap is just a rumor in the tweet he makes about it.

You're basing your opinions around someone that hasn't done anything notable in the gaming industry since Vanilla WoW. Dude is the definition of armchair developer.

Get a grip.

EDIT: Make that the past 20 years. Dude left Blizzard in 2005, headed a failed title, then stole a few million from investors on the promise of a VR MMO. Great guy you're choosing to listen to there, lol.

Awesome post. Anything that guy says should be taken with a grain of salt.

He based his opinion on Starfield off menu. Seriously.

Starfield has it's flaws, but making an opinion thx to the main menu is next level.

How many weapons/armour pieces can you upgrade to the max by the end of the game if you carefully explore everything?

I think I had 3 weapons maxxed, one full set of armor, my pistol, two of the alternate fire guns and one of the grenades.

Pretty cool customization with armor.

his rights as gamer were undermined mate. imagine going to a party and people ask you for your shhehetehyclem before you can enter the best party of your life. champaign shower levels of goodness. you understand?

now you could easily tell your shehetheyhum and think of the great party inside or you could do the moral thing and stand with your fellow gamers. we are a beleaguered folk. like the pope in the vatican when heathen nordic tribes invaded southern italy.

stand by your fellow gamer but take a shower first haha

I actually prefer the movement and combat systems of the Remnant series but I agree that this game is good.

Honestly I feel like this game is what would happen if Jak and Daxter had a baby with Dark Souls.
