Are you support PS5 promts controller in steam for your game ?

Well the developer is half right, except it's Windows that doesn't support PS5 prompts by default (might be something to do with Microsoft owning Xbox), the developers usually have to add PS5 controller support themselves.

I suspect if enough people ask for PS5 controller support they will patch it in.

The PS5 version is obviously not the same as the Steam version, that's not rocket science.

This is pretty annoying. The game is available on PS5, so the configuration and prompts for Dualsense exist. It shouldn't be too much to ask that the PC version was able to switch to the PS5 UI and prompts when using a Dualsense controller, or at least recognize the controller without a third party app like DS4Windows. It's a basic accessibility setting that should be standard at this point.

And in 2025 I thought people might have already realised that PlayStation is considered an non Windows accessory and has patchy support at best.

Well, the game doesn't support PS5 controllers, which is a common issue on PC, which is why I use both a PS5 and an Xbox controller on my PC.

So if you're not prepared to buy a cheap Xbox controller, your next best option is trying to enable Steam's built in PS5 controller support, looking for mods that add the PS prompts, or waiting for the devs to add PS controller support (which is unlikely).

To be quite frank, considering how cheap 3rd party Xbox controllers are now I'd just buy one of those because PS controller support (especially PS5 Dualsense support) on PC is terrible.
