Settings choices for better fps?
I'm playing on an older rig, is there any specific graphical settings that can be utilised/turned off to get the best of both fps and graphics? I know it varies quite a bit from game to game what settings have the most impact. :praisesun:

If you can't use any upscaler, maybe try loweing the Antialiasing

Shadows, it's always the darned shadows. The Advanced settings are at the top of the menu with all the Antialiasing and Upscaling, kinda easy to miss. Drop those shadows to High or Medium and that'll help a lot.

Second best settings tends to be Post Processing.

Not always. There are games where you make the picture a lot worse, with little improvement to performance.

But yeah, Flintlock is among the games where shadows can be turned down to improve performance. "Medium" looks much worse though.

Turn the shadows down and use DLSS or XeSS. As soon as I did that (I choose DLSS over XeSS) I'm getting 4k high settings with a mostly locked 60fps, it's only stuttering on my PC when the game loads in a new area, which I imagine will be fixed in a patch.

Playing the PC Game Pass version.

There is no option for shadows in graphic menu...
