The concern about battles being too fast is because I'd like to see the actual battle happening and ALSO review all of the stats at the end as to damage, spells, etc. Don't think there is anything wrong with wanting a slower battle; give us a .75x option
Really, there just needs to be a slower battle speed so the battle feels more 'weighty', it would have more 'oomph', and it would bring out a particular enjoyment for those of us who like to watch hits land and the eventual victory or defeat.
If you just want it for aesthetic reasons then I understand.
Some builds scale hard, but are weak early. So I would like to see how they fare before they get going and how long they take to get there. The post battle stats don't tell that story.
Hell, for new players who want to understand the numbers in real time (and not as aggregated and averaged data) a slower speed or straight up the ability to pause to see what is going on on the battlefield would be useful.
All I get - as a new player to this genre of game - is a vague impression of what is going on on the screen during an actual encounter; a slower speed or pause button would help with this immensely.
cheers
You are a great DEV, because of you I bought the game
