at the beginning the game says you need the game controller, but it doesn't, just hit esc and start playing normally.

They should make that clear. I just unistalled when I saw the controller riquerement.

got the playtest access theen found out Controller only... Uninstalled and on my ignore list.

Thank you Kage to let us know this. The game and developer/publisher just went to my ignore list.

The game supports mouse and keyboard, as well as controller. It's an early pre-alpha playtest, so more advanced options like Key Binding support are not ready yet.
We have a bug where the Steam controller-only popup appears, and are waiting on Support to remove this.
