Even though this free trial was released today, the full version came out a few months ago, which is really weird to me.
After looking at the game + reviews + discussions, I assume that the reasons are because of the mixed reviews for the game, because people are saying the developer has left the game (which is not true as far as I know) and because of a sale they wanted to do for the game.

Unfortunately, it seems almost nothing was changed regarding all the problems the game has.


Some complaints people had:

Unrealistic game-play,
I have played a lot of hacking games and this is a really badly executed in my honest opinion.
On that note, still no added basic UNIX commands such as cd/pwd/ifconfig etc commands, no added base folders etc etc...
It shouldn't take so many months to add such a basic thing.
I will say they did add auto-complete which is good news, unfortunately it is sometimes broken for me.

Repetitive boring game-play.
For me it wasn't a fun game overall, It was ok for the first ~20 minutes (not amazing, just ok), but that's about it, waited to see if it gets better, but it didn't.

Terminal and interface being bad.
Wasn't fixed


And this was just the free trial...


I will say some people complained about bugs, and in my play-through of this free trial game I got no game breaking bugs, so at least that...


I have no idea what was behind putting this free version months after the original game and not responding to all the amazing feedback from people, both from the good and from the bad reviews.
There are some small things that can be changed that will give a major better feeling to the game.

This wasn't that fun for me even just as a free game (but I guess its fine for a free game), but as a free trial for a game that costs so much and had months for updates? this is really not ok in my honest opinion.

It was very fun to try to be a hacker, it's a nice simulator that shows us how difficult it is to operate the terminal, a nice hour, I'll think about whether to buy the full version - but this content for free is very nice! The full game is a bit expensive

- Inferior in terms of hacking games. Bitburner is much more better in terms of hacking simulation and being close to real hacking.
- Among the good hacking games in Steam this is one of those who consume heavy computer resources just because of the game's "3D Graphics" that is insignificant for a hacker simulator game.
- No clear instructions on how to do things exactly.
- Needs to be polish up.

The first tutorial tells you to crack a wifi network, and stores handshake in a folder (subdirectory), when you try to access that handshake in that folder using aircrack, it doesn't work. It only works when you run the aircrack command as if the file exists in your current folder. (as if you already used "cd" to change directories)
I joined the discord to report the bug but was only met with hostility by the staff and "helpers"; they said that I expected too much of the game and that it wasn't meant to be realistic (despite being a simulator).
I was stoked but after seeing that the staff doesn't care about simple details that make huge differences, now I don't want to buy the game anymore.

I can finally hack the pentagon ;)

Gives you no idea how to do basic things. Following hints and instructions shouldn't be getting you stuck. "You got the wi-fi password, open the wi-fi menu and use it to connect." Doesn't do anything and claims I'm already connected but it still tells me to connect to proceed. I broke the game, apparently I hacked past a step. Sure.

It's a good game, for the help who like to code and "hack", I work as a IT and I like that it seem "real". Really not for all people, but it's free right now so give it a try
