How does the daily bonus work?

I don't want to spend days re-attempting & not understanding it and miss out on a bunch of spiral points.

It gives you 3-5 (Depending on DLC) chances to get Spiral Points.
Usually 50-200 points a day, and you can spend them on lots of things, the One Time Rare Reroll is by far the most useful upgrade to get.

So is there no logic or strategy behind the daily challenge? Just click the button 3 times and what you get is what you get? Is there a way to maximize the reward?

I'm not asking about the reward, I'm asking what I as a player am supposed to *do* on the daily bonus screen. It says I have 3 "tries" but what am I "trying" to do? Is the goal to somehow make the spiral reach the edge of the box or something?

3 tries to get More points... click the box.
That is all it is, click the box, get the points.
I do not know what else to tell you, it seems giving more info, only caused more confusion.

As LGB said, click get points every 24 hours.
Those points can be spent in the Achievement Shop, I suggest focusing on A,C,D,B generators and low cost Spiral Patterns for the boosts they give first. Then E,F,G generators by then you'll probably be in the current end game waiting for the next update.

Oh I didn't realise spiral designs give boosts, I'll buy some of those then.
