You ask about 10 atk, 30 hp, 5 def, the average would be (10+30+5)/3 = 15.
Then take the square root of that average ( sqrt of 15 = ~3.87)
All your stats during the challenge would be equal to that square root (atk, hp, and def would all be about 3.87)
;;
There is an older topic back a page or two asking about the stats you need before the challenge to clear difficulty 9 of the challenge (basically to beat difficulty 9000 pentangle).
The biggest bottleneck is on the Attack, and that Pentangle will hit twice before you hit once. It's attack at 9000 is about 2.24 Sp (2.24e24).
Reverse-engineering the formula from above, that means before the challenge, you'd need around 5.1 Qid average of your HP/Def/Atk.
... which pretty much means weeks/months/years of grinding Super Pi and Fibanomnom if your current average is around 200 Ud (around 2.0e38).
I'm not even ready to take on the first level of that challenge (heck, still can't one-hit a level 0 Pentangle) and I've done everything else for the most part. Soooo...
Oh god, 5.1 QiD would be e48, I'm only at e32. You aren't kidding about weeks/months, even Super Pi barely gives anything anymore, e09 doesn't do much when you're already at e14. Guess its just farming the theories at this point. Either that or finally maxing out the reactor, its just so slow to increase it.
There's a bit of frustration that Fibanomnom's subscript multipliers aren't shown anywhere, they just get combined into the overall Attack% read-out, so it's tough to know when to switch off of grinding Super Pi to keep the bonuses mostly equal/efficient.
It definitely seems like you're 'intended' to be pushing Theories (Square Sum theory mostly, the 2nd one, but boosting it's speed needs you to upgrade 1st theory which takes inspiration/secret of triangle) - as well as spiral equations (the flat % bonuses early on, the attack/def/hp rewards, and the last one from super pi for battle rewards).
Some extra part of it also seems to push to buy DLC spiral designs to use for the grind (likely the newest one, Bonfire) - then swap to Orange & Purple Winding from spiral points for the bonus stats (100%/doubles it roughly) when you're going to do an attempt.
