Automation Controls - They kinda suck
Auto-buy: heavily restricted by Z progress, with massively scaling costs for a teeny tiny gain. When you reset and need to buy 3000, 5 every second just isn't enough.

Auto ω-prestige: "Hey autobuy, can you stop for a second, we're like 4 seconds away from being able to afford this. Aaand you bottomed out r again. I guess I'll wait another four sec--oh. This is going to take like an hour until every buyable thing costs more than the ω-prestige, innit."

Auto-prestige: the more you prestige, the higher you want your next prestige to be. I would really like to specify a value and then a multiplier. Every time I prestige, I want the next prestige to happen at [original value] * [multiplier ^ number of prestiges]. So if the values I specify are 1 and 5, then prestige at 1, 5, 25, 125...etc. Combined with the auto-buy limitations, this setting is good...once, maybe twice. After that it either takes more time to re-buy all the r-upgrades than it does to accumulate p or it takes so long to re-buy the r-upgrades that you're just wasting time (i.e. a single "buy all" suddenly bumps your income a billion-fold and accumulating the p then only takes seconds and you're back to having the human click "buy all" on a couple of things and resetting again almost instantly). If I have to sit there and click buy all for the automation to do anything I may as well manually prestige too: if the automation isn't automating anything, then it isn't an automation.

Battle "Auto Start": aside from being poorly named, the threshold is based on difficulty, which I can't predict in advance how high I can go before I stop 1-shotting things (or two-shot, or...) I'd much rather go "ok if the HP of the next round is above X, then reset."

Battle "Auto Start": additionally, I'd like to set conditions about what I consider a valid reset.
First off, if I have uncommon or rare rerolls unlocked, then the autostart should use this by default, all the time (unless it doesn't make sense, eg. Pi).
Second, I want to specify a minimum "quality" level, rerolling into (the common) 0.3% when the range is 0.3% - 4% is just...stupid. Or maybe I am trying to maximize a target attribute, eg. "I am looking to maximize +ATK, so reroll until I get at least Y amount total."

Exactly how the UI for this would work, I dunno. Just that the current checkbox is horribly useless.

Store automation [this one's a bug?]: "all other regular upgrades" seems to include the prestige upgrades for b, c, d, e, f, g. I do not have any prestige-upgrade-automation purchased.

I get the the automation isn't meant to "play the game for you" but as they currently are, they're either useless or outright detrimental. I never use auto-prestige (and disable r-upgrade automation when I manually reset; p-prestige, ω, or tornado). I never use auto-start in battles and I'm not about to spend 1,000,000z on making r-upgrade automation 14% faster (I would actually pay the million to refund that purchase back to its base value of 1 (well ok not really, but the 1M isn't worth it and the next point after that for another 12% increase costs 10M)). It currently operates at sub-0.1% efficiency, so I'd rather have the 0.006% extra delta-r (or 0.65% for 2 steps).

Yes.

Also a few things, but mostly yes:
- Learn the Battle Values (I just wrote them down in Steams new 'Notes' feature. Just make a Note, name it Enemy Threshholds and write down the threshholds, when you start to two-hit them instead of one-hitting. Make sure to have 2 chapters, one for current values and one for outdated, this helps alot.

For me it looks like this:
Enemy Threshholds

Old Enemy Kill Threshholds

Gamma: 8170+

Napier: 10333+ 13000-

Pentangle: 10750+

Fibanomnom: 1800+

New Enemy Kill Threshholds

Alpha: 24000

VarMan: 13500

- I get that the Auto-Start may seem terrible, but it is well needed if you play idle. It's much more attractive to get bad values that reroll once every while into something good and one-crit everything for 8 hours than to start killing 1 good enemy in one second instead of 500 good to bad depending on luck. Remember that the effect of the incremental difficulty hits hard after a short time making your damage neglectable.

So much for my 2 cent, have a nice one :)

Well.

Things can go fast and well if you take the time to understand how they can do so. i don't think Automation as a no-brainer should ever be the way to do so. i agree that the very lot of them aren't even worth spending the time to undestand how rubbish they are.

But auto-start on battle spirale is a free tool, no spirale points engaged, just a reward for defeating tons of ennemies, so you don't even have to consider or not unlocking it in term of spirale points, and decision making. And you also want this free, usefull, automation to come with a whole menu of settings ?

About ω-prestige, it also is a free automation, so i wouldn't expect much from it. And well... it saves some click on each P-Prestige ? (and truly, maybe i'm too far, or not far enough in the game, but i don't see a world where you don't want to ω-prestige as soon as you can (exception to challenges making it useless), i mean, a multiplier going from 66.61^18.5 to 83.27^19.5 (exemple from the current state of my game) worth more than any upgrade i can buy)

It's only bad because of how the other automations around it behave. On its own in isolation, it's great. The point is you WANT to "ω-prestige as soon as you can" and the auto-buy automation takes priority.
