Attack Speed from Gamma gives diminishing returns?

I was farming Gamma to increase my EXP/s, and i noticed that my attack speed % was increasing at increments of around 0.1, instead of the 0.250%+ (because of the multiplicationg from the exp upgrades). Is it supposed to give me these diminishing returns, because it doesn't really make much sense. If it instead of giving me %, it gave me -seconds for each attack, i would understand, but there is no problem in giving me the % as it is. Is this a bug or is this supposed to happen=

I am pretty sure its always giving 0.250% but its adding to your current speed not on the original. so you start at an attack every 2 seconds, the first upgrade knocks off .005 seconds. But the second upgrade is not going to take off .005 seconds as well, because the new speed is an attack every 1.995 so .250% is not going to equal .005 its going to equal .0049875 and so on, its always going to give you a .250% attach speed boost but its going to result in a smaller and smaller second reduction because its subtracting from current speed and not the original speed

It starts at 2/(1+Battle_Reward) but once you have at least 400% from battle rewards, it switches to 2/[∛(17.5*Battle_Reward+55)]. This, of course, ignoring upgrades from elsewhere.
