It's the only workaround I could figure out.
So, a 16:10 window ratio is what you need and not the incorrect 17.78:10 the game wants to use.
Edit : you might have to do some clicking to find the buttons, but a 16:10 ratio should work.
Also, I am not using the game resolution settings to do this, but resizing the window using the system utility Sizer that I downloaded specifically so I could resize the game window.
You should be able to run a search for "Sizer" and it will be the first result. It comes in a zip file that doesn't require being installed and needs to be run in Administrator.
Btw, i tried and it could be done with original window resolution setting, no need to use Sizer.

I have to run the game in windowed mode, so I'd still have the problem.
Being able to set windows to specific dimensions is useful for setting up a game with a window that can be resized manually, like Minecraft, for streaming or for replay clips.
