uncommon reroll button doesn work?

so I had the don't roll with uncommon/rare options unlocked, then I finally got enough points to get the uncommon reroll, which as I understood it rerolls with a guarantee of at least one uncommon slot, but it's doing literally nothing even when battle is stopped and there are no uncommon/rare slots on my current reward list? is this bug or am I missing something?
I don't mean it's rerolling with no uncommons either, like I click on it and it does literally nothing. it's a non-responsive button.

I haven't bought those upgrades yet, but I'm guessing it lets you reroll an uncommon/rare once if there's already one in the current reward pool.

You mean the 'Don't reroll with uncommon' button? If you've got that checked off it means you can't click to change the slots if there's an uncommon on there. The Rare button is more handy to be honest.

yeah, not the check mark boxes, I mean, I still have the rare check box, but I have it unchecked, the uncommon reroll button overlays on top of where the uncommon check box was, but does nothing.

It does work, are you battling an enemy that doesn’t have uncommon/rare drops? There are a few that only have common rewards. Make sure you aren’t battling one of them.

huh?? so it doesn't re-roll the reward list with at least one uncommon slot? there's actual random drops later on? cause it has so far done nothing when tried in training, kappa, alpha AND beta

From my experience trying to use it after starting recently, it seems like it does a single reroll, and discards the result (doing nothing) if the result doesn't have an uncommon roll.

If I spam clicked it, I eventually get a new rewards set with uncommon results, but single clicks mostly did nothing.

ok...that's...kinda stupid and basically defeats the purpose of a one click certain uncommon/rare roll button...but I'll try spam clicking it later and see how it goes...would try now but I just checked in one last time before I head to work

"unlock uncommon reroll" does NOT guarantee an uncommon. what it does, when you click "reroll rewards and difficulty" button, it will reroll until an uncommon appears, and then will LOCK, until you uncheck the box "Don't reroll with uncommon" - this means you have to click possibly 100 times for some of the battles. Pi battle has no uncommons or rares.

For what it's worth, if you have a reroll rare or reroll uncommon button, it will *ignore* the Don't reroll checkboxes.

So i have "Unlock uncommon reroll" and "Unlock onetime rare reroll", but really you probably only want onetime rare reroll.

I don't have the uncommon reroll check box anymore, the onetime uncommon reroll button overlays where it used to be...I have tried spam clicking the onetime roll button and apparently that does make it work...which is extremely f***ing retarded design, was it THAT hard to include some form of "if(uncommonSlots==0) reroll" check or whatever prper unity syntax is so it is ACTUALLY a 1 click reroll?

no, it doesn't autoclick, you have to MANUALLY spam click it, and it'll only give a new reward table if there is an uncommon reward rolled (presumably rare works the same way)
as is there's basically zero difference between it and a regular reroll except that the regular reroll might actually give you a good set of common rewards you might want to run thru a few times if you aren't that far into battle mode...which arguably makes regular rerolls actually BETTER the onetime rolls...
