枝江畔之梦 or Dream of Zhijiang isn't a game for the fainthearted

After 100% the game all I can say is: Pure Emotion, words cant express, 11/10 Masterpiece

Obsessed with Diana from A-SOUL several weeks ago, I have a sense of obligation to know more about her and that's the solid intention which support me through the gameplay.

Overall, there was merely one speck I had discovered so far was when the pointer reached the right of the screen for options menu, and then quickly moved to the brim of the menu (approximately a 1/3 zone from left to right) would cause the menu to flicker. It had limited influence to the gameplay and the rest of the game was decent. There is one thing preventing me from completing the game was Diana's puzzle. I must have depressed my master Diana for my poor capability of puzzle solving. So, I am asking for "skip for now" option or hints. They are essential to my completion, thanks in advance.

Upon the plot of the game, Diana saw several setbacks but they were solved eventually as happy endings which made me burst into tears. Branch plot for each character was respectable for the coherence with characters' personalities and vividly depicted emotion. But when the main plot was finished, in literature perspective, I didn't know it was me or other factors, in the A-SOUL base, controllable character's speech was somehow irrelevant to their personalities. A great characteristics and behavior discrepancy was perceived between in-game speech and livestream speech. I would be more please if it will be polished in the future.

All the details (including those were not mentioned here) signified the honorable efforts that the developers have paid. I'd like to extend my gratitude to the developers for making such a brilliant game. Wish all of you are doing well. In the end, PLEASE DIANA! TAKE ME WITH YOU!

Doesn't seem this has multiple endings, but that doesn't really decline my rating since the story seemed interesting. There are some cliches here and there but overall the writing seems pretty good. The main character's back issues are compelling, it is indeed implied to be psychological which is a known trope idea.

"Karol"'s identity crisis is well explored with "the idol image vs the real self" trope, but I think it's still nice to have the short hair vs Long hair difference. I'm not 100% convinced about the idea of the Fan giving up drinking inspired by her, but alright.

I'm not entirely sure why Xi Ran was so touched upon meeting Xiang Wan after the statue incident, but I guess reunions are always tearful. Overall so far so good, decent writing and no big complaints here. The cliche of mentioning stars gets a little bit repetitive at the end, and I feel the main character's hip issues are kind of handwaved. But the emotion conveyed is pretty good overall I'd say. (B grade game)

I can't write a bad review or a good review because I can't understand Japanese, but I will say the animation style just changes by the end of the game and I prefer the style by the end. The style in the beginning has a real backdrop with anime girls which I always found odd. the second half was 3D and looked very good. if you are looking for a perverse game don't bother though.
