For that matter, when your slime is summoned, it has the feed skill..... do bear in mind that the mechanic is very important (it is mentioned in skill description). No matter what you feed it, the summon mp cost will increase a fixed amount for each feed. Also, you can only feed it once every two days. And finally, the item price will determine the amount of EXP gained by the slime to eventually level up. So you need to plan and balance accordingly what you give to the slime, how much you level it up and the mp cost that increases. (there are some skills that you can later learn to lower the cost of summoning from slide summoners or so.... i found only one that lowered the cost by 10mp)
No to the latter, you can only feed it materials (basically the same list that you can enhance yourself with).... so any materials that you can use to enhance as well as stat drugs => you can feed the slime as well... anything with +stats.... even reinforced items (the ones one can make in edwin's workshop..... some you can find like pyroplating)
Haven't actually tested with negative ones like the giant bone, but i would imagine so..... in the case of drugs it has a passive that takes out the negative part, but for the rest i imagine it will be the same as aura
And giving the Slime drugs doesn't really count as feeding it materials. Those are two separate mechanics. The drugs simply apply their boosts to the Slime, as if Aura used the item on herself, only the Slime has a passive that makes it resistant to their negative effects. Probably the passive is there to clue players in that this is possible, because otherwise I could see plenty of players not even consider that drugs have such a use, on pure runs especially.
Are you saying the drug boost is for the day only? Or permanent? And I guess it's no XP because, as you said, it's a drug. So it adds to the stats of the slime but does not raise level? Just clarifying I understand.
What about oils? They are boosts too. I will test in my game but I want to see if anyone knows something I might miss. I didn't know about F5 you mentioned in the other topic.
The system is the same as i mentioned above for aura.... you can give the slime drugs or enhance materials...... for feeeding, only materials count (just like aura enhancement)..... the drugs are used like consumables on aura (and not with the feed skill, so no additional xp there.... and they are permanent just like for aura plus the slime passive res)
The Slime gets exp only through its Feed skill, and Feed only allows you to select materials, the same items that you can use to Upgrade Aura's armaments at the Workshop.
Drugs can't be Fed, but they can be used on the Slime. They give their stats permanently, not just for the day. I think the Slime even gets the MP bonus without suffering the HP penalty from the Blue Sugar Drug+? Though I would need to double-check that later.
You can give the Slime a Nasty Oil Coating, just like you can give one to Aura, but its effect ends when the day ends (or when you apply a different coating, since their effects don't stack).
I learned about F5 from another commenter here. It's really handy, using it now I can't believe how I had the patience to wait out battles, either letting Aura die or Removing Collar to kill all the enemies, and only then hitting F9 to reload since that button DOESN'T work in the middle of a battle. F5 makes all the difference, ha ha.
I was even more thick. I was ending the game back to menu, then continuing to load the save. I wasn't even using F9 either! This is partly why I ask so many stupid questions. I know I've got a habit of passing over important information and details and I want to see what I'm missing.
