Boss Roga Solo Guide(No Merc)

I've placed a spoiler in case people want to figure 'em out by themselves.

Guide for beating Boss Roga I've recently defeated. I played this game on mobile during the time defeating this boss, so I expect people who played this on pc will have easier experience for dodging attack, potion management and also timing.





I've beaten this boss with my regular swordsman/blade class, so for other class I hope you can adjust several skills I used in this boss with other skill you have.

My Lv. to defeat boss: 66
Potion used: 100x 250hp Revita, 3 500hp Revita(potion usage reduced after figuring the strat & pattern at 60% boss health)
Boss Difficulty: Normal
Duration: 1hour 5-10min

So the first thing you want to do is to clear up the minions. Usually after the minion attacks, they will back off and stop attacking, this is your chance to clear them up, but be careful of your surrounding because Roga is still active.

After clearing the minions, you can now learn the attack pattern. Here's some of his attack pattern that I found.

1. 3 Fast Swing(3FS)

Enemy will walk fast towards you with this pattern. This attack is quite fast and damages 200-400, so I recommend get used to dodge evasion first and learn the timing. To dodge the attack, wait until the axe is lifted. After it's lifted, dodge immediately as it will drop. Do the same thing for the next swing.

2. 1 long swing, then 1 fast swing(1L1F)

Enemy will walk fast towards you with this pattern. This attack will cause the most damage with 300-500 with potential armor break, try to focus. To dodge the attack, use the trick you learned from 3 fast swing dodge. Only this time, be prepared for the second fast swing after one long swing dodge.

3. Long range swing attack

Enemy will often seen slides to other area and most of the time they slides long distance. Avoid the red attack area. Try to attack after avoiding if you have chance because it have a small window of time before boss recovers/back to walk animation. Leave the enemy immediately after the attack to avoid potential 3FS or 1L1F attack.

4. Poison attack followed by circle swing attack

For this attack, I suggest you tank it, since it's the only Roga attack that have least damage. You'll need it to recover your mana. After Roga finished poison attack, he will perform a circle swing attack. Leave immediately as this attack will one-shot you.

Sometimes this boss will just do random circle swing attack on other pattern, so be careful with it.

Lastly if you have skill that cause a stagger effect, try using it. Currently I'm using swordsman/blade setup, so I have one default skill that causes 'Flinch'. After Roga flinched, all his normal/auto attack is weaken, slowed and only cause average 50 damage. In this state, Roga will perform 3 attacks, followed by medium duration of doing nothing then going back to his normal state.

For first time Main Questers, you can also retreat, and try again the boss on Easy difficulty. The game really shines after the Main Quest where you get enough spina and skill points to spend.
