Revolving clues
After solving a puzzle, the resulting clue, key or tool is spinning continuously. Is there a setting in the options that will stop this from happening/ I'm using the mouse/keyboard controller.

Spinning? I haven't heard of this.

Have you tried just clicking on the item to stop it spinning?

Could you try saving your game, quitting and loading back and see if that stops the spinning.

In the meantime I'll try to reproduce what you are seeing.

Clicking on the item doesn't stop the spinning. If I click and hold the left mouse button, I can make the object spin faster or slower, change its direction but not stop it from spinning. I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse. There are three pieces of paper in my inventory and, if I choose one and click on "show", it starts spinning. Saving, leaving the game and reloading don't affect the spinning. Thanks for following up.

Thanks for the extra info, I'll see if I can work out what is causing the issue, so far I haven't been able to replicate it but that's a puzzle I can work on over the Christmas weekend! :)

If no one else has experienced this (or reported it to you), I wouldn't spend a lot of time on it. At a guess, I'd say it has something to do with video card settings and/or drivers. I have a GTX 1650 and have been running Sotano on the Ultra setting at 1920x1080 resolution and up-to-date drivers. Processor is an i5 2.9 Ghz on an Acer Nitro 50 gaming computer with 8 GB ram, W10 20H2. If you need any other sytem-related info, let me know. I've finished the game, so this isn't holding me up. Interesting problem, though. I enjoyed the game, by the way... an enjoyable diversion for a few hours. Merry Christmas.

In case this didn't get addressed by now:

@GearJammer, do you have a gamepad plugged in? Sometimes the joysticks of these things are a tiny bit off the center and MIGHT cause rotation, movement or strafe, depending on the game and axis setup.

Thanks for the suggestion. I originally tried using a controller but it wasn't taking some of my button assignments. I played the rest of the game with the mouse and keyboard and the controller wasn't plugged in. I suppose it's possible that there was some entry in an INI file that remembered the controller setting, causing that to interfere. I've moved on from the game but I might try to start a new game and not plug in the controller to see if that solves the issue.

I have this issue in a TON of unity games when I have a PS4 controller plugged in, including this one. Unplugging the PS4 controller and restarting the game always fixes it.
