Save system

The save system is horrible, as there's only an automatic checkpoint system. However the checkpoints are only for the quest line. Meaning if you buy stuff, equip stuff, collect sparks, and talk to some NPC's none of that will be saved when quitting the game, because you didn't trigger a quest line savepoint.

Meaning the game either needs more checkpoints at more logical points, and not just the quest line. Or manually saving/save file system.

Absolutely. The post game free roaming is a disaster if there are still things you want to pick up and do because 1. you cannot save the game in any reliable way, and 2. there is no way to fast travel between major areas.

Has it been fixed? I understand that the game is short, but a reliable saving system is good to have regardless.

+1 for this one. The game is gorgeous, the customisations are great, but it's hard to know when the game was saved. If there's no way to save aside the quest(s) line(s), at least, provide an information about when the game was last saved (à la NMS : "Your last savegame was X minutes/seconds ago. Wish to process ?"

The problem is even worse actually: some stuff like acquired but not ended sidequests are not saved even if you've reached the main questline checkpoint afterwards. It's kinda mess to lose the undone quests each time you log out and keep getting this e.g. "find a stetoscope" quest each time you come to Clara's islet

Don't think som its auto saving only when you finish quests and or get to the next area

Ive played through the game twice and I dont think it was auto saving at some areas after quests. I was glad to finish the game twice. First time I loved this game and enjoyed it but second time through I thought it was average as I had already played it and knew what to do
