I planned to buy at launch, but after seeing the price, I'd rather wait for more discounts.
This game costs €10 per hour played. When there is a discount of 75% or more it will be a fair price.
That said, I could tell from the demo that the game was special; I already beat it this evening, but I can say its one of the better games I've played this year.
To me it felt like a worthwhile use of my time, I'd rather have 4.5 hours of rapt attention and engagement in a unique setting that doesn't overstay its welcome compared to some of the other "longer" games I've played this year, both indie and AAA; time doesn't always correlate to quality.
But on the flipside, don't take that as me saying this is the best game ever, its a value proposition, just like any other form of media.
Besides, it's not a smart trend, what with the competition being larger than ever.
