My save is gone...

I just launched the game and it reset me to level 1 and deleted all my stuff...anyone know a fix to get save back????. I was at like level 30 something to.. :(

If anyone has a save at level 30, please please may I use it. I have 2.8 hours in this game and would just like to ask if anyone can provide a save if they are level 30. But if there is a way to recover my save that would be WAY better

I have steam cloud on and everything. For some reason though steam cloud decided to ♥♥♥♥ itself and not work properly

It happened to me when I installed the game on another device and tried to play there. It was a very old laptop that the game sadly did not work on (blackscreen, only UI appeared & worked), I did not have any saves I could load there (even though I have Cloud sync enabled in Settings), but I did not expect for my progress to get reset on my main device in that scenario.

Does it have something to do with the fact that the game saves automatically whenever you enter the menu? Even if so, it's weird it synced on my desktop PC after I ran the game on my toaster, but not the other way around when I first opened it on said toaster. It would be nice if we'd have the option to save the game manually, and if the autosave when opening the menu would be disabled. Thank for reading :)

I just had problem today. it was working fine on the steam deck but after I switched from internal to external memory my game got wiped. that autosave feature is really bad in this case.

Has anyone received a response on this? I got a new computer and attempted to play, sync was already set up but the sync files only go back to the first day I logged into the new computer. My achievements still show (at least most of them), but it appears I have to start a new game. Very frustrating considering how many hours I've already spent and was hoping to pick up where I left off.

Yep same here :/ switched from the Desktop PC at my family's home to my apartment's PC and lost my save. Does it not transfer over Steam cloud?

I know this thread is a few years old but I just had to reset my PC for a few things.

It turns out the developers don't know how to code the cloud integration properly and downloading my saved files did not. So i'm sorry to those who wanted a fix. Its best to transfer the saves to an external drive before you play the game elsewhere. But I expect most people to see this warning until after they have wiped or switched their PCs.
