Have to be careful, though. You definitely need as much wood production as you can get your hands on. Whenever more crisis events stack up, they begin progressing faster and faster, and this includes reducing stun duration. It doesn't take many crisis events stacked up to start outpacing your stunlock time. The more wood production you have, the faster you auto-produce your soldiers, the more crisis events there needs to be to outpace your stunlock. And the reason why you don't fully upgrade your soldiers is because that makes them need more wood to build, slowing your production time.
I usually stop at Phalanxes, since that lets me research everything except more wood per click, and extra sustainment, neither of which are important. It's possible you'll have a better stun time at Archers, though. Whether all that extra research is worth it or not is up to you. It also would take a looooooooong time to finish events with *that* low damage, so its possible that they'll take so long that way too many crisis events will stack. I haven't tried, so I'm not sure
