Stars in the Trash brings the magic of animated movie classics into a narrative-driven platformer that combines action, exploration and puzzles. Tired of feeling trapped at home, Moka, a spoiled cat decides to run away and seek adventure. Explore, make friends, fight, and escape from the kennelman.

Pet Contest! Feature your pet in game!

Fam, you've shown us so much love over the years that we wanted to show our appreciation with a very special contest: Your pet can appear in Stars in the Trash! Yes, you heard it right. Select the best photos of your cat, dog, bird, fish, spider, you name it, and participate! Some pets will be selected at random and others by number of votes.

Moreover, on the occasion of the Steam Next Fest the demo will be available again from today until the end of the contest.

How can I participate?

As simple as uploading a photo of your pet through the form on the page: Pet Contest Link[pr.easypromosapp.com] 💌

What are the prizes?

There are 6 prizes divided into two categories:

Category 1: Your pet will be featured in Star in the Trash video game as a NPC (Non-Player Character).

Category 2: A poster of your pet will be featured in Star in the Trash video game.

How are the winners chosen?

The 1st and 2nd most voted pets win a category 1 prize.
The 3rd and 4th most voted pets win a category 2 prize.

In order to give all pets a chance to appear in the game, one prize from each category will be randomly raffled among all participants.

How often can I vote?

You can vote once a day.

When is the contest over?

The promotion will run from 05/25/2024 at 00:00 GMT+1 to 06/23/2024 at 23:59 GMT+1

How can I increase my chances of winning?

Share with friends so you can get more votes.
If many people add Stars in the Trash to their wishlist we will increase the number of prizes.

Demo issue

This looks so beautiful! but is anyone else having this issue?? Just after giving the dog his toy, and trying to go through the next door everything just goes black no matter what I do or how long I wait? I can move around and hear the cat moving so it's not stuck on any loading screen. :/...

So Cute!

What an adorable demo! The art style is beautiful. All of the little animations, the cats's expressions, everything was great - clearly made by someone who is owned by cats and knows their mysterious ways. Even down to cleaning their little furry butts on the floor... :) I loved that when I stopped to watch the TV the cat laid down and started grooming after a moment! And the calculations in the kitchen were hilarious. It played well using a keyboard, although I did notice that right at the start it ...

Unable to move off sofa using aPS5 controller

When on the sofa I'm unable to move when prompted to use the L stick on the controller, but have found if I use the arrow keys on my keyboard I can move onto the floor and then controller works fine :)

i very like the game it is so cute. They are are doing a good work i love the art work and the way the cat and dog have a nice friendship. I cant wait to see more of the game. I have put it on my steam wiselist

Demo first impressions

First impressions on the demo: what a beautiful game, the hand-drawn cel-style animation of the characters and the gorgeous watercolor backgrounds are both vibrant and clean. Controls are straightforward, sound design is great and the music is beautiful movie-soundtrack quality. The amount of care and love @valhallacats have put into this project is on display. The character design calls back to the immortal Glen Keane and Milt Kahl in a way that feels reverential rather than derivative. Small Bugs/Issues...
