[FORM CLOSED] Submit YOUR Weapon/Shield/Item/Refinement ideas to be put in the game!
Hey everyone!

A lot of you have had the chance to start and even finish your first playthroughs, now I'd love to hear what YOU want to see in the game. Use the form below to submit ideas for weapons, shields, items, and refinements!

Submission Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdmjhQK2g-cEuCEqySanMlW8urCU0OgLDRoRUMnXc0hsN8ELw/viewform?usp=header

You can also share your ideas in the comments in this thread to help inspire others and get feedback yourself!

After a week or so, I'm going to compile them all into a list, and put it up for people to vote on their favorites they want to see in the game. I'm also planning on the following special categories to vote on:
- Most Historically Accurate: The suggestion with the closest resemblance to how it's used in the real world.
- Most Unique: The suggestion with the most original idea.
- Most Cursed: The suggestion with the most interesting drawback or double-edged effect.

At the end of the voting duration, I'll take the 2-3 most popular from each category (weapon, shield, item, and refinement), as well as a few from the special categories, and implement them into the game (I reserve the right to make tweaks for balancing)!

Excited to see what you all come up with!

I just submitted a couple of ideas, but they didn't really fit the form. They're not so much specific weapons, but more classes of equipment.

A set of training weapons with reduced damage, increased hit, no refinement slots, but most importantly they increase the weapon proficiency growth.
And then improvised weapons - like a scythe or a pot-lid shield - which would still do reasonable damage, but be very unwieldy (low accuracy) or regain hitpoints very slowly. But the main point would be that they're very cheap, so even if you've been unwise with spending, you're not limited to iron weapons.
Love the idea of training weapons!! There actually is an existing ability in game that I removed called "Good Habits" and they used to be on the training weapons you're using in chapters 1 and 2. Might put something like that in the shop to train your weapon proficiency quicker!

Had some ideas I sent, not really for the shop, but maybe for drops. I think we need a bit of cash for finishing each board. I know it doesn't fit exactly(or another resource that can be traded, but that is just more complicated for no reason. ) Because leveling up weapons can eat through bundles of cash quick. And with 20 odd characters that is a lot of units to keep up, without swapping gear all the time.

Alternatively have a few more chests that may be difficult to get to and have a timer??

Love the new improvements on the inventory screen. Being able to see your proficiency and what items you can and can't equip is very useful. Excellent QOL improvement.

Thank you for your passion for this genre as few get it right, and you are making changes that actually improve the way the game feels and plays that I would say most of the players are enjoying.

If you want to do some DLC I will happily support you for your herculean efforts on the main game. Even if its cosmetics, like alternate art, or alternate reskin the on board models from weapons or level ups. SO those that don't want it don't need to do so to the finish the game. Keep it from pay to win so to speak.
Yeah more ways of getting cash has been requested quite a bit. I will say that I never intended for every weapon to be leveled up to max. The ATK/HIT upgrades were more for helping a unit in an area they were a bit deficient, and the real power comes in from the freely replaceable refinements (which is a big reason I didn't put a denari cost for swapping refinements). Or even making them permanent.

Definitely will be looking at adding some more side quests with extra rewards. As well as the highest voted items from the suggestions in this form! There are some super cool suggestions already I'm excited for.

And I really appreciate the kind words in regards to the QoL updates and your willingness to buy DLC. It's an absolute honor that people want more content from the game. I don't know if I'll ever do any paid gameplay DLC as I don't like the feeling of locking people out of gameplay when they already paid, but something cosmetic as a "supporter bundle" could be interesting (some people have suggested alternate portraits as the main characters promote). I'd have to look into it for a bit. Right now I'm just enjoying implementing the things players are asking for the most. But who knows there might even be a TWR2 on the horizon!

What's the situation here? Are these going to be implemented soon?

Finishing up controller support (just submitted the build for re-review from Valve), and then will be closing the survey and formatting all the ideas into a format that will be easy to vote on. Will put out the voting after that.

The implementation of the most voted for ideas will probably come after the story patch.

Sounds good!

Started putting together the voting list, if you have any ideas you'd like to submit I'll keep the form as accepting responses up to Two more days from this moment. Thank you all for your amazing suggestions so far!

Weapons with built in Axebane/Lancebane/Swordbane-like refines would be nice. Since the triangle feels like Axes < Swords < Lances < Axes, maybe 1 weapon each that reverses that relationship.
