That recruitment does make sense thematically, though it is a little hard to square allowing a "random" into the party at this point in the story without good reason as they're supposed to be an elite group. Cedric was let in for temporarily assisting with rebels in the area. Noah, to me at least, would cause some dissonance.
Ah come on, then Fin shouldnt be in the Squad aswell, especially beeing top 3 of the strongest units :D
I mean he has just as much reason to want to fight for a better life as every other rando we seem to acquire. And our elite group is not even very elite at that point in the story yet.
Let us recruit him! He is like the "pet" goblin the D&D group finds. We don't/ wouldn't care that he is actively bad for the party. In fact, that's why we love him more. <3
It makes sense to avoid him at this stage in the story, but it would be a neat easter egg to have him pop up down the line and offer to join or provide some useful piece of information. Perhaps in the Free States tavern?
