What do Charms and Tarot Cards do?

I'm guessing the Tarot Cards are just for collectable purposes but hoping they have some impact once a complete set is obtained. Anyone have that yet?

And what do the charms do? We can spend statues to purchase them but I can't find anywhere that says they provide a gameplay change or even see them reflected as cosmetics on my character art.

Tarot cards are just collectibles. I’m not sure about the charms either.

Charms do more than that since if you get the crow one, you get a crow companion.

That's new and only one specific item. It was added in a late October update. My post is from when the game released in August.
