Fix the hitboxes
PFG you need to send your team back in and check all of their work on hitboxes.

Just as a few examples:

Wonder woman's feet/lower legs are invulnerable, marvin's head and back are hitboxes when he's firing his ray gun forward, jason still hits behind him when he attacks forward, batman's hurtboxes are smaller than his body by far, reindog's melee attacks are all slight disjoints even though they are body attacks, Iron giant's entire kit doesn't match up to what he's doing at all (even though you keep having to put him into 'under construction' he's never finished), agent smith's hurtboxes also don't match up to the graphics, gizmo's melee attacks are also enormous disjoints even though he's using his limbs, and I'm sure there are many, many more.

While yes, there should be balance patches, you should really go back in and make sure the hit/hurtboxes line up with the actual graphics first. This is like gaming 101

And just to be clear, I'm not talking about character balance or any of these fighters being too strong here, its just incredibly annoying to play this game when your attacks go straight through people, or when you get behind them and they hit you with an attack that's going in the wrong direction.
