For the OP, my current #1 is 24k but I'm limiting myself cuz I don't want to spend all day doing this "challenge" so chances are I'm only going to be top 5.
Thing is i didn't get any of the rewards although they seem claimed on the event page..
Are those delivered later or should i send a ticket to support?
Wait about two hours or longer after the event ends. This is my third time doing the Top Dog Challenge and the rewards are never instantly available to claim after the event ends.
You wouldn't have spent all day doing it. You posted 2 hours ago and the event ended an hour ago.
This is the first time they actually displayed a countdown for when it ended too (which was 6 am CST, same as the other two). Don't worry, yet another Top Dog Challenge is coming in about 6 days.
I mean the Top Dog badge already said nothing about skill to begin with and was a poorly thought out event, but since people are openly exploiting to get it...just remove the event and remove the badge.
Though that would suck for the handful of people who legitimately earned it. Going in and finding the exploiters is beyond PFG's abilities though, so they can't do a targeted fix like they should ideally do, so the only real solution is a blanket fix.
But I would put good money on them just never punishing anyone for it.
Maybe that explains how the player in 1st place climbed from 10,000 XP to 30,000 XP in the final hours while I was also actively playing. I won nearly every single match (won 10 in a row and lost 4) in the same time and only reached 20,000 XP. A win seems to average about 322-388 XP.
The exploiters have said they rake in about 1k EXP a minute using their method, with a little downtime between matches to reset the exploit.
I know the method, but I don't want to lower myself to using it. So I guess I'll just keep grabbing silver badges while watching cheaters get the gold.
1,000 XP per minute? I tried to do the math later and it doesn't seem possible that my Leaderboard's 1st place player could accumulate as much XP as they did in the amount of time it took me to make 2nd place. They suddenly were over 30,000 XP after I had just checked a half hour ago when they were at 20,000 XP. I was winning all of my matches and made it to 19,502 at the time. The event stopped tracking at 5:55 am and I ended with 20,583 XP second to their 30,613 XP.
Using the exploit they will win their matches with minimal effort. So the EXP comes in fast. I think 1k a minute might be the braggarts in the Discord exaggerating a bit, but even if it's not exactly that fast...it's still faster and easier than you could ever do legitimately.
