Unable to join friend from another region

So my friend and I wanted to play with each other but we’re unable to connect to each others lobbies. Is there a fix around this or are we just unable to play with each other since we’re in different regions? Apparently this wasn’t a problem before the patch.

I play from Australia and he plays from the UK by the way.

I was having the same issue when trying to play with a friend form a different region too (Am also in Aus) I think the game is region locked for Aus because people in EU and NA seem to be able to play together. It's either that or it's another bug

Also having the same issue with a friend from the U.S, didn’t have this problem before the latest update

The problem is game don't even tell us what region we are connected to, neither it show us our ping like other fighting games.

There was in Beta, but they removed it.
