I did it with garnet and her down special. I just planted her star at the very edge of the map and pushed iron giant right out the map.

How do you unlock that mode?

The trick is to juggle them off the left or right most edge, and never let them touch the ground to reset. Once the bot uses all their resources (dash and specials) they will fall and die.

If you are hanging off the ledge, the Iron Giant loses aggro.
There's a small spot where he doesn't aggro and you can land stuff on him.

Just whittle him down carefully, because 1 wrong move and you either fall down or get hit once and get LAUNCHED because of the damage reflection.

Any rift beyond experienced difficulty is stupid and almost impossible, you DO NOT make the game "harder" by literally nerfing the player's attacks while the foe gets the ability to do over 100% damage in three hits. It's such a stupid system, paired with how the AI literally cheats sometimes too. Like why are they able to just escape from Jason's grounded up-b and jab, what???

So I was stuck on this too, however I kept jumping into the air as if I was going to go out the top zone and the bot just followed me and rung his self out twice. I beat him and did zero damage lol. pretty sure you can repeat this as well. now the next fights after that....really do feel impossible

I had to retry it a few times. I was using Harley at first and getting absolutely rekt lol. I was able to complete it Superman without as much hassle.

You just have to get your gem level to 7. I think it's not available for the first 2 or 3 rifts, can't remember and I'm not able to pull up the game at the moment.
