Raise the ceiling - Literally.
I've caught on quite quickly just how cheap and easy ringouts are via hitting opponents upward through the ceiling boundary. It's disgustingly cheap how up attacks can be spammed in midair seemingly until a player or enemy is rungout. Even someone with barely any damage can be rungout with less than even 50 by someone just using up attacks or up specials or both over and over. Characters like bugs bunny, Finn, and the Banana Guard are used especially often for this tactic. Thus, I feel like they need to raise the ceiling of the levels so that such cheap ringouts become less common.

They're very easily dodged, and not the most reliable ways to score KOs.
Otherwise I would get more PVP KOs.

I beg to differ. I can't tell you how many times I've had it happen. Being on both ends of it happening in fact, because yes, I'm not going to pass up such a tactic if someone else is going to abuse it too. Nearly every character, especially those with reliable up attacks, can do it, and THAT is the problem. They need to fix the stage boundaries so that the ceiling ring out is higher up. Most characters can literally go from the floor to the very edge of that ceiling boundary using their normal jumps on most stages. THAT is what needs to be fixed.

Ceiling definitely feels off.

You die the moment you go off screen even slightly (and some maps, even less than that - you actually just see your character model become isekai'd), unlike bottom or side ringouts where I've seen people disappear only to come back from beyond the boundaries of the map.

It really does not, it's easily played around. If you're in that position, just dodge in literally any direction, horizontally is free, but if you time it right you can go under them with it.

I'd rather keep it because it works on CPUs, and it's a neat wincon either or.

"Just dodge". What a profound concept. WHY did nobody think of THAT gem of wisdom before now?
When you're getting up spammed, in midair there's almost no way to dodge or defend in any way, much less counter attack. There's simply not enough room or time on most maps. You can practically ring yourself out on most maps, I know you definitely CAN on the Basketball court map. The ceiling boundary is THAT low.

i mean the guy isnt wrong. it is fairly easy to get out of the situation, especially if they are just chasing you and spamming up attacks/specials. that being said, i do agree that the ceiling could still use some adjustment.

No. You clearly haven't experienced what I'm talking about. I'm talking about a Bugs knocking you even partially into the air and then smacking you straight up again and again in one continuous combo until you ringout the top with maybe 40 damage total. THAT is how low the ceiling is.

But you know, lets hot fix Garnets one trick while all these characters can do the same lol. little salty about this
ANGRY NATHAN Jun 18, 2024 @ 7:58pm
You are right, somehow it's much easier to ring out an enemy upwards than it is to ring them out downwards, i feel like 90% of ringouts are upwards
Chibbix Jun 18, 2024 @ 11:34pm
It's because of the lager characters in general. Makes the whole stage smaller, but you feel it most on the top, because some characters can just combo you up to it at 20%. Some can do it on the side, like Rick with that platform move, but I fell thats a little more skill intensive, than "up smash/special, jump, up special, up special. Especially on maps like Space Jam, or PPG. On those anytime you have to jump over a Harley or Joker on those it just feels like a dice roll whether you're going to get hit by one of their ladder starters and 15-to-Death'd .
