Ranked 1v1s... F this game
Me someone with 89 victories shouldn't be facing someone with 2000+ victories... This game makes me regret buying raven.

Why you hopping straight into ranked? 1v1 Ranked is sweaty, campy, and VERY punishing to noobs. Play some casual queue or at least unranked 2v2 to get to grips with movement and accuracy.

I'm not sure matches played is the best balance indicator for matchmaking and I don't think it's factored in, but I get how overwhelming it feels when you see that.

Personally I think it's better to just not to scout your opponents before a match while playing ranked (if you can help it). If you want to look them up after the match, whatever, but you don't want to psych yourself out. I've beaten quite a few Masters and even a few Grandmasters when I had no idea who I was fighting.

Condition is also a thing. Some people are playing on tilt (lack of confidence due to losing streak) others are playing while drunk or upset/distracted. It's generally worth a shot to just give it your best even if your opponent seems like they would be a monster.

However, I do set a rule for myself that if I lose 5 matches in a row I'm doing something else.

you would be surprised how many games get much easier when you jump into rank over casual at least for the early ranks.

Rainbow six siege
street fighter
tekken
paladins champions of the realm

i'm sure others can add to my small list where starting ranks is more fair than casual queue.

Yeah fair, unranked is full of sweats as well.. But casual queue is just bots, and there's no shame in beating up bots to get the hang of your moves and what not. Then you can get humbled in PvP by folks who combo you into oblivion!

I just fought some fgc tryhard who played jack, everytime they killed me, he spammed the salt emoji. couldn't even get 3 hits in. i blocked them. do that. game is better when these tryhards STAY IN RANKED AND DON'T ♥♥♥♥ UP CASUAL.
