Be honest, are you paying for skins?

I know we've discussed this before, but the monetisation in this game is driving me crazy.
Skins cost 2000 gleamium, which is $30.

Some players stick to one character to master, while others switch between different characters.

The issue is that those who stick to one character find the price of a single skin unjustifiable.
So, why would players who use multiple characters be willing to buy a skin for each one?
It's just not going to happen.

They would be better off making skins more affordable so that players wouldn't think twice about buying one for each character. But as it stands, the cost is equivalent to an entire game one would rather just buy from their wishlist.

If players frequently switch characters, they might be willing to spend on skins for each one they main.
However, the current high price makes it difficult for many people to justify spending money on any.

I might consider it if they didn't keep making the game consistently worse. If they actually start fixing the game they could get me to open my wallet, but so long as they keep doing what they're doing...no.

I usually don't get my hopes for a game, at launch (the first launch) I was really digging this game. Then they made questionable decisions in the "beta", and then outright bad decisions in the relaunch.

I hate to see such potential driven into the ground by incompetent devs.

Not in 2024. During beta week 2 2022 I enjoyed the game & the SPEED of the game, & bought Bugs' hollywood robe which yes was still over-priced, but that's what happens when the game is actually kinda GOOD, & I genuinely supported the devs at the time (lol dumb idea I know right).

Now in 2024 they launched almost an entirely different, slower game with less features than the beta. Beyond amateur mistake; almost Cyberpunk-2077-levels of deception lol. Then on top they slowed it down even further in this July patch. This quality of product isn't remotely worth buying skins for.

I'm scared to invest money into the game because of all the issues it has right now. I hope we get some big changes in season 2, if so, I'll be more than happy to start spending gleamium

Most of the features will eventually return. They weren't left out intentionally. They explained in Twitter / X that the reason most features are missing is they didn't have time to implement them in the new engine in time for the launch.

Yes I know about them implementing it to unreal engine 5. I'm just sad to see all the nerfs in July that players seem to dislike on top of other gameplay issues.
& the rabbit in particular now has a harder time dealing with Harleen & these broken DC heroes. If I do play again I'm going back to Superman.

many people that have skins got them during the beta. funny enough the founder's pack ended up being a mistake for many while those who bought glemium for the battlepass instead, ended up fine.

i bought 1 bought Batman because the cartoon version is the best and how I grew up with Batman. I also want the sexy female outfits. I only buy the ones like that. If it's something silly like the animated hearts, Jason masks, or Matrix Japanese letters, then absolutely not.

I only bought the batman animated series skin because of nostalgia and because i only paid 10 Euro for it which is a good price.

They cost like that because,statistically speaking,only a small fraction of the playerbase buy skins to being with,so they will cather to that kind of players to keep the cash flowing

i stopped paying for skins in any game for more than 3 years at this point,and dont have any interest in doing it ever again. I take pride in beating people who throw 40$ in a skin when im using the default one

Ill pay for new characters, but for skins? no. Unless I can earn them through playing if not, I don't care.
