Fun Topic: New Class Idea
If you could add a new class for MultiVersus Characters, what would it be? We have tanks that focus on being hard to defeat, bruisers that focus on knocking people out, assassins that focus on dealing damage, and mages that focus on summoning objects, traps, and projectiles. What if there would be a class that would focus on something too, such as a class that focuses on dodging and parrying, basically cancelling attacks, which means Griefer. What are your ideas?

I've been trying to think of a new class, but they have pretty much everything covered.

In the beta, they also had Support (they were Reindog, Morty, Gizmo, Steven U.), which meant they had multiple abilities that directly influenced allies. The thing is, most characters have at least one support ability, and many have multiple support abilities (WW) so it felt even less defined than the others. Three of the characters ended up Mages, while Steven was reclassified as Tank/Mage and later just a Tank.

It was Velma who was support, not Morty (he was a Bruiser)

Support probably got removed because it greatly limited their design (Gizmo had basically no kill power in beta) as well as turned players away from trying them outside a 2v2 environment due to the idea of them needing a partner to get the most out of them...
My idea is a "DC" class that are largely Tanks but also have "critical hit sweet spot attacks" or Mages or Brawlers that have disjointed hitboxes and no hit or whiff lag essentially making all "DC" class characters act as Assassins.
Their main feature though is combo killing from 50%-70% damage with an additional easy-and-fast guaranteed KO option from a single strike at 100% damage anywhere on the map; additionally, they all survive fine at anywhere below 135% damage.

I liked the idea of Support but they couldnt figure out how to make it work and ended up not commiting enough to the idea to make it worth the class slot. And now we have weird remnants of it on certain characters. Like has anyone ever actually picked up and thrown a Reindog? Did you even know you could do that? lol

The whole concept of class is dumb and really only applies to completing daily/weekly challenges. :balloonicorn:

Guys, you all have a very interesting discussion, but the funny part is that I didn't really see many ideas, especially from mcnichoj

I mean its more it'd be hard to define what that classes role, imo we already see a lot of overlap in assassins and mages so already we have to work on figuring out what the preexisting roles mean much less adding new ones

This literally is just a fun question "If you could add a new class for MultiVersus Characters, what would it be?", not a discussion about other classes. If you don't have an answer, leave it blank.

I mean if your going to add a class it needs a role though, one that sets it apart from the others, if you guys want to throw out possible class names theirs a ton I could just throw out if you'd like but in order to make a fun concept you'd need to do these things

I try to get people to do that with me but they never do. :(

maybe 'trickster' where the character would be good at suprising enemies with traps and fast moves (and maybe sekiro : shadows die twice style parrying)
