It's a mixture of input lag + large buffer window.
They removed the option to change your buffer window size. (similar to the option in Mortal Kombat 1)
And there's most likely more input lag introduced due to the migration from unreal 4 to unreal 5 for this re-release.
They also most likely changed the frame data around too. More landing recovery on many attacks maybe? A mixture of a factors in other words.
I feel like it didn't feel this bad a few days ago.
