You think fighting games are safe from cheats? very arrogant to think so.
Anti cheats typically detect any 3rd part programs trying to inject code into the game doesn't matter what the purpose is for.
For a game like this cheaters will use scripts similar to that of League of Legends. Auto dodge use the best available move and one button combos. Playing against these people will feel like playing a fighting game boss on the hardest difficulty where it reads your inputs and counters what you do. So scripts will tend to read data from the game and then feed input controls back into the game. What buttons need to be pressed and when. Anti cheats should be able to detect scripts like these being run.
Multiversus was using Easy Anti Cheat on it's original release but know they seem to have got rid of it and probably doing what every other company is doing which is enabling cheaters to cheat because cheaters are large portion of the population who spend money on the game and companies are not interested in banning paying customers.

Their could be people using macros, and programs that will use the proper reactions to your opponents inputs and spacing.
Also keyboard users have clear advantages in execution, like in most games. But I don't consider that cheating.
