why do i keep getting into bot matches with my friend at least 5 times and not finding real ppl to players

So........ I played through my initial 5 bot matches in 2v2 queuing solo. Never played against a bot after that.

Now I played with a buddy of mine in 2v2, went through his initial 5 bot matches after that everything was normal. Played a few matches and switched to the rift for 1 match, still everything was fine. We left the rift and regrouped for more online 2v2, everything was fine. We both switched characters and now it's not fine, we only queued against bots. We both restarted the game. Re-queued, bots again. We both restarted our pc's, queued again.... bots. I queued solo in 2v2.... again bots.

I dunno what happened but now I only queue against bots. Game is bugged or some sort of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is going on cause I can't play against anything but bots now.

You are not the only person having this issue. My 2v2 winrate is hovering around 60% so there should be no reason for me to be in bot lobbies but my buddy and I were getting into them constantly around an hour or so ago. I think there might be a problem with the server or something. Ideally the devs will fix this. My theory is that it has something to do with removing Iron Giant (he had an infinite they are patching) and trying to work on the servers while they are live. But I am not a programmer or network guru, so take my word with a grain of salt. I'm just saying that if the game was being actively modified it wouldn't surprise me if the servers are taking a ♥♥♥♥ and the sudden bot lobbies are just to make sure people have something to do if they want to sign on but don't want to do rifts.
